About Me

I am the one thing in life I can control.

Nobody can do an awesome quote like Lin Manuel Miranda, so I figured I would leave the punchy headlines and deep thinking to the experts.

The name is Tory Dellafiora. I’m a Spring 2017 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Education in Music Education, a Bachelor of Arts in General Music, and an English minor. I loved my undergraduate experience a ton, and I planned to go out into the field and teach middle school.

But my plans changed after I arrived at college. I’m currently attending Florida State University to study Student Affairs in Higher Education for my Master’s degree. I work in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, where I plan and coordinate the yearly Dalton Institute. My research interest is focused on music students (specifically music education students) and how they handle the college experience.

When I’m not holed up in a practice room or the library, I love running, going on adventures, and making crafts. My ultimate goal is to run a full marathon in every state (I’ve got four down, forty-six to go!). Most of my hobbies are great self-care for depression and anxiety, and they’ve become lifesavers to me.

I love answering questions that anyone may have, offering life advice, or just being an ear to listen. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with me!
